On Thursdays, Fridays (and Saturdays) We here — at The Bakery on Main, in Morehead, KY — are serving up something special for Lunch. In addition to our daily fare of soups, grilled cheese, and chicken salad sandwiches we feature a “specialty sandwich of the week” Each week we serve something different some of our rotating favorites are:
Roast Beef sandwich: Boars Head roast beef on a freshly baked and then toasted challah poppy seed and onion roll paired with our house-made horseradish mayo and topped with lettuce, tomato, and onion; $8.99+tax
Chipoltle Chicken Sandwich: Boar’s Head Chipoltle Chicken piled high with applewood smoked bacon and havarti cheese on top of fresh lettuce, ripe vine tomatoes, purple onion, and avocado. All of this on our freshly baked white or wheat bread! $8.99+tax
BLTs: Bacon, lettuce, and tomato on our bread that — you guessed it – we make here fresh, every morning $7.99+tax
Turkey, Ham and Bacon club: Boars Head Ham and Turkey with applewood smoked
bacon lettuce, onion, tomato, mayo, hot mustard and your choice of cheese on toasted white or wheat bread (you know – that freshly baked bread we pulled from our ovens this morning…); $8.99+tax
Italian Club: A soft hoagie roll we developed just for this sandwich is piled
high with salami, ham, pepperoni and provolone cheese. The hoagie is toasted in our oven before we add all the fixins: lettuce, tomato, purple onion & banana peppers.
